One of the best moments to come out of Seth Meyers' Conan O'Brien spot last night was the recounting of how his CFDA Awards Marc Jacobs dress outfit came about. According to Meyers, it was Anna Wintour's idea:
"Anna Wintour said to me, 'I have the funniest idea.' And I had this moment where I was like, 'Oh, do you, Anna Wintour, have the funniest idea? And she was like, 'Yeah, you should wear Marc Jacobs Met outfit.' And I was like, 'Oh, you were right, that's a pretty funny idea.'"
So, despite all evidence to the contrary, it appears that Anna Wintour might actually be quite hilarious in her private time.
Also, Meyers reveals he wore two pairs of underwear underneath that dress. Just to be safe. Enjoy all 1 minute 30 seconds of the clip after the jump.
