One of the few problems that goes hand-in-hand with being a designer who's both artistically original and high in demand are all the copy cats.Mary Katrantzou has made a name for herself with digital prints, tromp l'oeil artistry, extraordinary embroidery, and playful uses of everyday objects on garments, and behemoth retailers have been paying almost too much attention. The designer told the Telegraph, "I've gone through stages. First, flattery—a high street store is copying you! Then a sense of injustice—someone has taken your idea and made it in a form that is not as good quality. But you can't take it personally; everyone is being copied, and I don't have the budget to sue." Katrantzou did voice one lament, however: "When you put 'lampshade skirt' in google, you get ASOS!
