Introducing Kieran Dallison, this year's recipient of the "Gilt.com/CFDA All-Star Scholarship." Dallison just graduated from FIT and previously interned at The Row, so the fact that he received this scholarship must be a close second for things the brand has to be proud about, what with winning this year' CFDA Womenswear Award and everything. About his work at the brand, he told us, "Their attention to detail, their level of craftsmanship is so inspiring that I was able to take a lot of what I was learning throughout working there and apply it to the development of these clothes." And for all the interns or potential interns out there, he offers a little advice:
My biggest thing, the way I have got to even this point is by putting as much heart and as much work into everything I've been doing outside of class as what I do in class. Internships are crucial. You need people who you might end up actually working for, you need people who know people who are potentially customers. So putting as much effort into your extracurricular is so important.
Right now, all that effort is being channeled into a collection of jumpsuits and dresses in colorful prints, which will be for sale starting at noon today on Gilt. In Dallison's words, they're perfect for "popping something on, looking really cute, really comfortable, and walking around town." And $79 to $129 is a hell of a lot more affordable than anything you'll find at The Row.
