Alexander McQueen's Fall 2012 Campaign Video is Nightmare Fodder

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Get excited for a space odyssey courtesy of Alexander McQueen's F/W 2012 campaign video. This two-minute clip directed by David Sims tests our descriptive powers but here goes: It's like having a bad trip while watching Never Ending Story and Star Trek at the same time, but feeling pretty OK about it. Or if Sarah Burton and Tim Burton were one in the same.

If you can squint through all the morphing colors you'll see model Suvi Koponen in a purple fluffy piece and matching heels from the collection but the most exciting feature has to be the awesome visors that are finally available at AlexanderMcQueen.com for $475. And to that we say to infinity, and beyond. Check out the video after the jump to see what we mean.
