The Result of Topshop and Opening Ceremony's Confusing Union: These $160 Knickers

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

So many international brands are taking the Olympics as an opportunity to get retail incestuous, so it's not really a surprise (though it's definitely random) that London based Topshop is currently commingling with Opening Ceremony. The fruits of this collaboration—which is basically "Union Jack colored" sport apparel—can be found the OC website and at a London pop-up. The showing includes a $225 black sweatshirt and, yes, a pair of$160 knicker shorts (that's British for underwear shorts. Probably). Feel free to browse the whole collection above.
