Comedy writer Bonnie Datt once bought a chainmail vest "for clubbing"—a purchase she later came to lament, once she realized that chainmail wasn't particularly slimming. Inspired by this, she now spends her spare time asking famous people to dish about purchases which they initially loved—but ended up regretting, for Buyer's Remorse.

Tinsley Mortimer's name has become synonymous with Fashion Week. Due to her feminine style, the socialite turned reality-star turned handbag designer has become a fashion show front row denizen and one of the most photographed socialites in New York. She was also a beauty ambassador to Christian Dior. We're not quite sure what her ambassadorial duties entailed, but she was obviously successful: she helped create a Dior lip gloss called Tinsley Pink and America and the French brand have yet to go to war.
So, of course, we had to ask Tinsley for a Buyer's Remorse story. We expected it to be about something fashionable and expensive. We were right.
Racked: Can you tell us about something you've had Buyer's Remorse about?
Tinsley Mortimer: I bought these really expensive Louboutin shoes. They were cool—sort of snakeskin and had all these different multi-colors to them. I thought I'd wear them all the time and I've worn them once.
Racked: Was it the color or fit?
Tinsley Mortimer: I think it was the shape of it on my foot more than the color or anything. Just the way I felt it looked. I can't figure out how to wear them again. I always think about them in my closet and I'm like, I gotta try to wear them.
