The tallies are in: the Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, ended on Sunday and recorded an underwhelming total of 339,838 visitors during its run. Past shows like Chanel in 2005 and Jacqueline Kennedy in 2001, have boasted upwards of 450,600 in attendance. And then, of course, there's last year's twice-extended Alexander McQueen exhibit, which had a record-setting 661,509 attendees. Was it the all the lobsters? [NYT]
