· Nicki Minaj's perfume already has a name (Pink Friday, duh), and now it has a bottle. Just like the actual Nicki, the fragrance comes with a bright pink wig and giant gold necklace. [MTV]
· Who says beauty isn't political? Bliss is headed to the Republican and Democratic conventions to hand out their newest products, lotions called "O" (for orange) Bama and Mint Romney. [NYT]

· Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics partnered with Nylon magazine for a special shade of their Lip Tar. The color exactly matches Nylon's trademark pink logo and is called—wait for it—Nylon. [Sephora]
· Paul and Joe are celebrating the tenth anniversary of their beauty line by releasing three mix-and-match lipstick cases. Finally, there's a way to match your makeup packaging to your outfit. [Birchbox]
· And in what we're going to refer to as back-to-school beauty, an Austrian literature professor gave up teaching to launch a cosmetics company that has debuted a line of soaps inspired by different works of German 17th and 18th century literature. [MNN]
