What $250 Will Get You at United Bamboo, Yoox.com, and ModCloth This Week

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Welcome to Racked's Shopping Cart Comparisons, a column that investigates how far a budget will stretch at three different stores on any given week.

United Bamboo isn't known for being dirt cheap, but they are known for carrying exciting designers and even more exciting goods—and there's always the sale section. Then there's ModCloth who's a decorated champ at inexpensive vintage and vintage-inspired indie merch. And lastly Yoox.com might be hailed as a designer emporium, but they also carry a boatload of less expensive brands that promise covetable looks. That coupled with the site's impossibly massive "Summer Sunset Sale" means one thing: Even the girl on a budget is getting a big and beautiful haul. All told, there's a little something for everyone at these very different, but very clutch stores. Happy hauling!
