Comedy writer Bonnie Datt once bought a chainmail vest "for clubbing"—a purchase she later came to lament, once she realized that chainmail wasn't particularly slimming. Inspired by this, she now spends her spare time asking famous people to dish about purchases which they initially loved—but ended up regretting, for Buyer's Remorse.

Olivia Palermo is the ultimate fashionista hyphenate. She's a socialite-model-reality star-actress-jewelry designer—and she runs a pretty good blog. You probably know Olivia best from her days on MTV's The City, where she worked in PR for DVF and later at the accessories department at Elle. Not surprisingly, living such a charmed life, Olivia initially had trouble thinking of a purchase she regretted, but eventually came up with one which made us realize that Olivia has more interests than just style.

Racked: Can you tell us about something you've had Buyer's Remorse about?

Olivia Palermo: No, honestly I haven't bought anything that I can think of, recently.

Racked: And in the past?

Olivia Palermo: Yeah, during ski season I bought a pair of skis and I really didn't like them, so I ended up switching them out.

Racked: You didn't like the way they fit or the color?

Olivia Palermo: I didn't like the way I skied on them.

Racked: That makes more sense.
