If You Have Misplaced Your Breastplate, Rodarte Has You Covered for Spring

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

What everyone one loves about Rodarte is the thrilling imagination of designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy. This season, the sisters play make-believe in a kooky world of sexy chainmail, leather shoulder armor, and yes, breastplates. Kate told Vogue the inspiration was a "Medieval fantasy world," and it's one we're sure at least one Olsen sister is going to want to be a part of.

Rodarte footwear also appeared on the runway its sophomore season, to plenty of acclaim. As Teen Vogue's Eva Chen put it via Twitter, "Ridiculous Rodarte shoes that I of course want." She speaks for a lot of us. See it all after the jump.
