Christopher Kane Spring 2013: Nuts, Bolts, and Frankenstein Chic

Christopher Kane told Vogue UK, "I love that book by Mary Shelley [...] So it was the nuts and bolts of Frankenstein." That translated literally into his Spring 2013 collection through a purple Frankenstein t-shirt (See: Staring directly at you above) and actual nuts and bolts instead of standard fastenings on dresses. All that hardware was tempered with more than a hefty dose of bows in pale pinks, ivories, yellows, and powder blues. Between the monster references and the little-lady details, the collection gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "pretty scary." Check it out after the jump.
