The floral design of Perrier-Jouët's Belle Epoque was first created by Emile Gallé in 1902—a swirl of white Japanese anemones—and has since become the iconic image of brand.
This September, Perrier-Jouët will unveil its first ever Limited Edition Belle Epoque cuvee since then, featuring the design of Japanese floral artist, Makoto Azuma. The first commissioned artist to decorate the bottle since Gallé, Azuma's composition recalls the original design and appears both on the white box and the bottle it carries.
The vintage inside was chosen exclusively by Hervé Deschamps, Perrier-Jouët's cellar master. With an exceptionally long finish and a taste that hints at flowers and white fruit, this six-year-old vintage expresses the floral, diamond-cut style of the brand and the best Côte des Blancs chardonnays.
