We arrived at the Charlotte Ronson show last night to a flurry of cameras happening front row, back left. It was Paris Hilton. In the words of one onlooker behind us, "Uch, is she even relevant anymore?" That's a question we'll leave for another time (or never), but what was relevant were Ronson's ocean-themed offerings. See the full collection after the jump.
Midriffs were fully exposed by leather bralets. Painterly seaside skies adorned dresses, shorts, and tops. Dresses were sweet, per usual, but Ronson tempered the saccharine pastels and feminine shapes with a sporty edge, tapping into the high-school varsity jacket trend with leather, transparent blue and pink jackets, and one capshell-sleeved sport vest in eggshell yellow. The '70s era basketball shorts, tailored to wearability, and mesh paneling drove home the point: athletic and pretty certainly do go together. Sporty Spice will be so pleased.
