Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Hey remember that time Tracy Reese dressed Michelle Obama for her Democratic National Convention speech and the internet freaked out? Last week seems like years ago, but the Spring 2013 show this morning was a reminder of why Reese's aesthetic is such a good choice for public leaders and lay people alike.

The bright blues, lemons, reds, and emeralds, whether in energetic prints or solids, are super upbeat. The flowy femininity is pretty but not saccharinely sweet. In a word, the collection is wearable. Plus, if you see something you like, you can get just as cheer-inducing looks for a lower price point at Anthropologie's Made in Kind collab or look forward to the Target collab. Check out the perfect positive message for the spring season after the jump.
