Athletic wear is no longer a trend; it's a coup. Victoria Beckham, Nicole Miller, and Charlotte Ronson are among the designers incorporating spandex and mesh into their varsity jackets and tennis skirts, but Donna Karan New York's Spring 2013 collection in particular is one biker short away from winning all the triathlons. Models were sent down the runway in sweatbands or visors, kicks, and...bathing suits.

There are so many questions: Are the one-piece swimmies for day or night? Are we to layer skirts and pants over them or go full-on "heats out so our cheeks are out"? The '80s were thirty-ish years ago, but how soon is too soon to pair a fanny pack with beach gear again? All question aside, the mostly monochrome looks with pops of camo and denim are undeniably cool and easy. Paired with a utility jacket and duffel bag, the collection will help its wearers run faster, jump higher, and be chicer than all the rest. Take a look after the jump.
