What with all the talk of fiscal cliffs and stalled sales, the bah-humbugging over the holiday season leads one to expect another sluggish year-end recap for retail. But 2012 was pretty promising sales-wise, according to WWD, and we apparently have our pants to thank for that. One investment analyst explains: "The consumer just feels better. And there were things to buy; colored denim drove a lot of business for a lot of companies." [WWD]
