As previously reported, Jean Paul Gaultier is on a bit of a comeback tour. Next stop? America. Coming off a new partnership with his Madonna-era production partner, Italy's Gibò, Gaultier tells WWD his sights are set on a ready-to-wear line that will appeal to the American market. "At the end of the day you have to ask yourself: Why am I doing this? And I say I want to touch more people with my clothes," says the designer. "So it's good to sell more — because I'm still not bad at designing clothes, no?" [WWD]
