Actress And "Shopaholic" Emma Roberts Loves Everything She's Bought, Except This

Comedy writer Bonnie Datt once bought a chainmail vest "for clubbing"—a purchase she later came to lament, once she realized that chainmail wasn't particularly slimming. Inspired by this, she now spends her spare time asking famous people to dish about purchases which they initially loved—but ended up regretting, for Buyer's Remorse.

Emma Roberts has been acting professionally since she was nine, starring in television and film projects like Unfabulous, Nancy Drew and Scream 4. Her acting talent might be genetic, since her father is actor Eric Roberts and her Aunt is the legendary Julia Roberts. Roberts was a little flustered when we asked her for a Buyer's Remorse story—but when she finally thought of something she regretted, it was an item which we could relate to.

Racked: Could you tell us about something you've had Buyer's Remorse about?

Emma Roberts: I don't know. I'm like a shopaholic I love everything I buy. I probably just need to wear it more.

Racked: But is there anything you've actually regretted buying? Something you were initially excited about, but then thought, "What was I thinking?"

Emma Roberts: I don't know. You're putting me on the spot. I can't think of anything...I bought a blender that didn't work.

Racked: Do you cook?

Emma Roberts: No, I just thought I needed one to make smoothies and then I never ended up using it and it broke. So that was remorse.
