5 Things To Know About Last Night's SAG Awards

We watched last night's Screen Actor's Guild Awards so you could watch Downton Abbey and/or Girls. You're welcome.

Sadly, the major takeaway from the broadcast was the actors were definitely not drinking enough champagne. We longed for boozey acceptance speeches and Moet-fueled madcap antics. Alas, it seemed everyone was on their best behavior. But, if you're still curious to know what went down last night, we've got you covered. Everyone is Still Sick
...Really, really sick. Jennifer Lawrence attended the ceremonies in spite of a (highly contagious) case of walking pneumonia, while Marion Cotillard refused to shake hands with Giuliana Rancic on the red carpet for fear of passing on her franken-flu germs. Absent from the awards were Mary Tyler Moore, Carl Reiner, and Tommy Lee Jones.

Everyone Wore Black and/or White
Just like the Spring 2013 shows, this year's SAG red carpet was marked by the the presence of monochrome looks. Starlets bet on black or white for the evening, with actresses like Claire Danes (in Givenchy), Anne Hathaway (in Giambattista Valli), Kerry Washington (in Rodarte), and more opting for the classic color pairing. And now for the evening's requisite wardrobe malfunction. As Jennifer Lawrence made her way to the stage to accept her award for Best Female Actor in a Leading Role, somebody put their chair down on the train of her Christian Dior gown, causing it to tear as she attempted to free herself from the grips of the diabolical seat. The viewing public was treated to a flash of the actress' thigh as she took the stage. Walking pneumonia and a busted gown? JLaw's having a hell of an awards season!

Last night, Busy Philipps eschewed the flowy, Earth Mother look expectant Hollywood mums often serve up on the red carpet. Instead, the Cougar Town actress showed off her baby bump in a form-fitting Gabriela Cadena long-sleeved gown.

Giuliana Rancic Is Only Just Now Finding Out About 'Making it Rain'
The E! News anchor was really into showing everyone how to "make it rain," as if Fat Joe and Lil' Wayne didn't already cover that like, seven years ago. Rancic demonstrated her knowledge of the staple (strip) club move, pantomiming throwing hundred dollar bills on phantom dancing girls.
