Glenn Beck set forth his plan for Utopian city "Independence, USA" on his web site in early January, which Jon Stewart took the liberty of breaking down on his own show yesterday, focusing primarily on one of Beck's retail mandates. Explaining the "marketplace" portion of his brave new world, Beck says, "There's not going to be Gap here. There's no Ann Taylor. You want an Ann Taylor, go some place else." Jon's assessment follows:
"'Scuse me, sir. Freedom Town sounds great. I like its adherence to our founding principals of freedom and liberty. But where will I get my casual basics?"And then Stewart makes a pretty solid pitch for shopping at Ann Taylor LOFT. Enjoy after the jump.
