Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Nicola Formichetti is known for his crazy schedule and piles of work commitments, so maybe that's why his first bag line as creative director for Mugler is all structure.

30 sculptural styles made of leathers and skins (like patent crocodile and rubber alligator!) and fastened with silver handles shaped like talons comprise the collection, which he once described as "inspired by gaga's great ass." The line ranges in price from $1,050 to $18,000 and you can find it at Barneys New York, Opening Ceremony, and other select stores come February.
