Sad faces all around today for fans of incredibly luxe yet minimal knitwear and leather:Vince cofounders Rea Laccone and Christopher LaPolice announced that they are leaving the Kellwood Co. division (which has owned the brand since 2006) on February 1. The split sounds very amicable and, as LaPolice explains, it was a long time coming: "It's not a knee-jerk decision. We agreed to stay on for five years and stayed for almost seven." Still, let's hope they get back in the design game after "filling some of the bucketlist." [WWD, sub req'd]
