Everlane, the online retailer specializing in basics that are slowly taking over closets everywhere, one category at a time, just launched leather totes in three different sizes. Coming in black, "kiwi" (a kind of grey), and brown, the bags aren't crazy expensive for quality leather totes: The shopper is $325, the market is $375, and the portfolio is $425.
All pretty standard for both Everlane and totes, but for this category, they're acting as the conduit between Italy and your carrier closet. That means you first have to get on a waitlist, and when Italy gives the nod, you will be notified within 30 days with an invitation to purchase the bag. Also, there will only be a limited run of 1000 bags. If you can't wait, or act too slow, remember there's always the other ace bags that they make and, of course, their perfect t-shirts.
