Behold, The Coolest Toothbrush in Existence

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Today's pick comes from Racked National editor Leslie Price.

Binchotan toothbrush, $7 on theline.com.

Before I even read the descriptive text that accompanied this Binch?tan toothbrush, I knew I wanted it. It's so sleek and cool. But the brush's extensive backstory was what sold me (because I'm a sucker like that).

According to the description on theline.com, a specific type of charcoal—made of Japanese oak branches burned by artisans in Japan's Kinshu region—was blended into its jet-black bristles to help fight bacteria and scrub away plaque. In a travel-friendly bonus, the special bristles mean it's effective with or without toothpaste.
