Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Starting immediately, Racked is looking for site editors in Dallas and Miami. Are you plugged into your city's retail and style scene? Do you have a passion for journalism, a nose for a good story, and a drive to break news? Are you a self-starter who loves to work independently? Then this is the job for you.
This is a writing-heavy freelance gig with commensurate pay; it's highly flexible, but editors must live in the cities they're covering. The Dallas and Miami editors will join a growing network of local Racked sites that currently includes New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and, as of last month, DC and Las Vegas.
Interested? Then send us an email at jobs@racked.com with a paragraph about yourself and a paragraph about why you're right for the gig. Include your city—Dallas or Miami—in the subject line. If you've got a personal blog, Tumblr, Twitter, or Pinterest, add links to those as well. No resumes, please! If we like what we see, we'll follow up quickly.
