H&M will bring its affordable fashion to New Orleans this month with a 32,000-square-foot flagship set to open at noon on Halloween, Best of New Orleans reports. The store will be located in the city's French Quarter in a building that used to house a Hard Rock Cafe and will stock men's, women's, children's, maternity, and home—a first for the US.
Over the spring, H&M's spokesperson spoke with local media about their plans for the city, saying, "The best location is our priority. Second is our customer base. Market conditions have to be ideal for us to open there. We know there's a strong customer base in New Orleans, because there's been such a demand and the retail conditions are quite strong."
