The Hollywood Reporter is diving into fashion with a new site titled Pret-A-Reporter. It will focus on the stylish side of Hollywood, with peeks into wardrobe closets and red carpet commentary as well as the Reporter's anticipated annual ranking of Hollywood stylists. There will also be beauty coverage and, as they put it, "gorgeousness"—a section that right now boasts a big photo of Jon Hamm's bearded face. The Reporter is using the platform to experiment with e-commerce through a partnership with The Fancy.
One current lead story focuses on Salvador Perez, the costume designer for the Mindy Kaling show The Mindy Project. Kaling, according to Perez, is "constantly shopping."
Designer Zac Posen, whose dramatic gowns are a red carpet staple, has also been enlisted for the site's launch. For an undisclosed period of time, he will be serving as Pret-A-Reporter's guest editor. Via press release, Hollywood Reporter editorial director and former US Weekly honcho Janice Min said, "With unrivalled access and a superb editorial team, Pret-a-Reporter offers readers total coverage of one of the world's most dynamic and influential centers of taste."
