After 15 years of selling fun, jokey, offbeat and cool giftables, the guys behind Fred Flare are closing up shop this month. Super-sweet founders and couple Keith Carollo and Chris Bick discussed the news on their blog yesterday.
Carollo and Bick had purchased a cottage in the Catskills and their website states that they will be "moving to the country." Each spoke of their sadness in closing Fred Flare. Said Carollo, "I never cared about money; I just wanted to do fun things. The problem was those fun things didn't make $ and now we don't have any more & it's time to go. Sorry about that."
Until November 21, the duo is hosting an epic sale online. Shop apparel, accessories and of course, novelty items like this knit turkey hat (timely!) or this shark-bite oven mitt. Bye guys. The internet is losing something truly special.
