This morning's Isabel Marant for H&M launch was a rather quiet affair, given the hoopla of the press pre-shop events and the expectations set by prior collections. That may be due to shoppers waiting to buy online.
Over in Europe, the collection already dropped on hm.com. How's it going? So far, not great. A friend of Racked posted the above image on Facebook about three hours ago. UK shoppers trying to buy online are issued this message: "YOU ARE PLACED IN A QUEUE. Due to the high level of interest in our latest collections, you are being placed in a queue. We are working hard to give you access as soon as possible. Please try again. Please note: items placed in the shopping bag are not reserved, so once you have chosen your items proceed immediately to the checkout. Thank you for your patience."
Needless to say, this does not bode well for US shoppers' chances. It is reportedly back up now, though sold out of most of the popular items.
