Abercrombie & Fitch has decided to shut down all its Gilly Hicks stores. Gilly Hicks is A&F's 'Australian-themed' lingerie and loungewear spinoff; the company began opening locations for the brand in the US in 2008 and currently operates 28 standalone stores here and abroad.
Abercrombie chief honcho Mike Jeffries said that sales among the youngsters he caters to remain weak, and that though all Gilly Hicks stores will shutter, the brand will still be sold online and in Hollister stores.
