Muji opened its blockbuster Hollywood flagship on Saturday, and our sister site just took a spin around the new digs. A few things to note about this Muji, versus its other stateside stores. It is the first US store to carry Found MUJI, which is sort of like J.Crew's Discovered category, offering "items from around the world, re-discovered and renewed by MUJI, to represent the roots and philosophy of our products." It's also the first US store to sell MUJI Labo, a clothing line designed with the same ethos of Muji's home and paper goods products. In addition, the outpost carries a small selection of Muji foodstuffs, such as chocolates.
The store is number eight in Muji's US fleet, after locations in New York, San Jose and San Francisco. Click over to Racked LA for a full tour of the meticulously-organized shelves.
