Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Once upon a time, Kardashian offspring Robert Kardashian told Racked that he started his sock line Arthur George because, "there really aren't too many sock companies." Well, Kardashian will have some new competition this spring in the form of Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant. Bryant, who grew up in the hosiery business (her family owned a sock mill in Tennessee), has partnered with e-shop Mack Weldon on a line of men's socks to debut in the coming months.

"This is a product category where the details are everything, and getting this right for men is really a big opportunity," said Bryant. She is also curating gift bundles for the site, which will include both socks and underwear.
