Apple has released a statement regarding an unfortunate incident that took place Monday in Bethesda, Maryland in which a man passing one of its stores was partially crushed by a falling glass door.
The statement, according to a local news channel, reads in full: "We work hard to make our stores a happy & safe environment for our customers. We've reached out to the family directly to express our condolences and we hope for a fast recovery." Apple has replaced the shattered door with a piece of black wood.
According to the same news source, the man is recovering—he suffered a broken pelvis—and has 'spoken to' an attorney.
