Lululemon erected the first store that it built from the bottom up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. So what do they do when they have mostly free range? Build an all-white edifice (per Tulsa mandate) called Center 1 complete with a yoga roofdeck and "cloud" installations. The building was designed by Alison Janzen along with local architects and New York City-based artist John-Paul Philipe, who has created works for Barneys and Neiman Marcus, contributed the clouds.
The artist explained of the installations, "As a child I spent a good deal of time searching out evocative shapes in hidden in clouds and watching puddles dry after a rain. Shadows always seem to catch my eye and suggest images. All of these stimuli are presented as random occurrences, but I've always strived as an artist to filter all this into some kind of coherent expression." So look for that on the outside of the building should you pass through that area.
