You were already too late to buy the rose gold $450 Starbucks gift card at Gilt even as it launched at noon today. Apparently, VIPs with access to the pre-sale cleaned out the 1,000-strong stock in a matter of seconds.
But shed no tears, Starbucks superusers, there are nearly 30 of them on eBay right now. The resellers have marked them up to between $500 and $4,999. There are even a few of last year's silver cards if you're into a throw-back.
UPDATE 12/6 1:54pm: Reps from Gilt tell Racked: "The public sale went live at noon ET and the available cards sold out within seconds."
UPDATE 12/6 2:11: Reps from Gilt confirmed, "A total of 1000 cards were created and a portion of those were made available early to 'My Starbucks Rewards' members" at the pre-sale.
