Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Trina Turk's Fall 2013 was an ode to California-cool style topped with the ultimate prop—a velvet wide-brimmed hat like one Jimi Hendrix wore once or twice. The clothes themselves were grown up and ultra-feminine with a wide range of textures and colors—see: plum jumpsuit, mauve curly lamb coat, and orange leather stovepipe pants. But perhaps the most attention-getting were the geometric prints, as evidenced by a pair of candy-striped satin pants, a zoomed in-kaleidoscope print dress, and a debonair houndstooth shorts suit. Take a peek after the jump.
