Rodarte Channels Santa Cruz By Way of High Fashion

Backstage at Rodarte's Fall 2013 presentation this afternoon, designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy told a group of reporters that their latest collection was inspired by their hometown of Santa Cruz, California. The town is a mecca for surfers, dead heads, and tattoo artists, and the line channeled all three influences by way of a tie-dye print, trippy patterns, rose embroidery, and flesh-toned socks decorated with tattoos by tattoo artist Scott Campbell.
