Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
This is the third season J.Crew is showing at Fashion Week, and fans of the brand will be happy to see more of the cheerful prints, classy cuts, and cheekily disheveled styling that has turned creative director Jenna Lyons into one of American fashion's most popular icons.
But there's also a subtly luxe feel to this fall's collection. "There's a little more richness and embroidery and beading, where we've probably been a little quieter with some of that stuff recently" Lyons told us. "It feels a touch more? sparkly. And not in the way that we normally are. It's sort of chunkier." Check it out after the jump.
