Kirna Zabête and Nine West Offer Shoes for Monthly Moods

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Kirna Zabete, the cult New York boutique that recently collabed with Target, created a line of shoes for Nine West to be released piecemeal over six months. Each month starting today, the footwear behemoth will release a high heel, a heel, and a flat designed by the store's owner's Beth Buccini and Sarah Easley, and fair warning: They get kind of kooky. Sarah explains "The footwear category is where you can really be inappropriate on a lot of levels. You can be weather appropriate, or you could push the envelope on the fashion frontier a little bit more. Feet are sort of an ageless zone where you can break a lot of rules and take a lot of risks. Which is why women should feel comfortable changing their shoes multiple times per day." In case you're into the one day, twelve shoes kind of style, February and March are already available so get to stepping out here. They're priced between $59 and $169. · Kirna Zabête + 9W [Official Site]
