SpongeBob Had a Bad Trip, Made Jeremy Scott's Fall Collection

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Jeremy Scott always delivers a Jeremy Scott collection. Neon, tons of skin, and cartoons are the expected fare, and Fall 2013's cartoons were monsters, really angry ones that double as a decent rendition of what would happen if SpongeBob had a meltdown. Literally. Then there was unrestrained hairy beasts consuming heeled boots that reach to the mid-thigh, the backs of jackets, or simply swallowing models entirely. Hair and makeup was styled all punk with messy mohawks (Cara Delevingne rocks a fierce 'hawk, naturally). Do the monster mash after the jump.
