And the International Woolmark Prize winner goes to Christian Wijnants of Belgium. Victoria Beckham, Donatella Versace, and Diane von Furstenberg among other judges were impressed with his attempt to create a seamless piece of clothing with one piece of merino wool yarn. His ingenuity earned him about $100,000, which he plans to use toward a preseason line for his 10-year-old brand, and a spot at Bergdorf Goodman, among other international stores, in the fall.
