Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We weren't aware that anything besides Beyoncé breaking the Super Dome happened last night, but apparently there was football and commercials. Because the first is kind of meh, we took a look at the range of ads after-the-fact and found a few notables. From Oprah to abs, check out our top five after the jump.

5. Taco Bell

This one is inspirational for the old and young alike. Also props for introducing the Spanish language version of fun.'s "We Are Young." We'll never forget the present tense plural conjunction again.

4. Audi

This makes the list as the requisite controversial ad, thanks to a story line that's a bit rapey.

3. Oprah's Jeep

When seen at the right time of month, car commercials can leave you in tears. But one in which Oprah's voice-over says "nation" as soldiers are pictured coming home? E'rybody is on the floor weeping together.

2. Budweiser

See above, but instead of "Oprah," insert "Fleetwood Mac's Landslide," and instead of "troops and families," insert "man and his horse."

1. Calvin Klein Underwear

Mmm, this too.
