BryanBoy's First Designer Collab Involves Fur Bow Ties, Naturally

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Eccentric style blogger Bryan Boy has held out on doing the designer collaboration thing for years, but this season he has finally decided to go for it. WWD reports the blogger will be partnering with high-end furier Adrienne Landau on a range of unisex accessories for his first ever designer partnership. Products will include a rex rabbit bow tie in aqua for $38, a rex rabbit cowl in poppy yellow for $118, and a silver fox camera strap for $598.

Considering the political climate around the use of fur in fashion, the accessories are bound to be polarizing. Cheeky and luxe, they are entirely impractical and bound to piss some people off. In other words, it's the ideal project for Bryan Boy. The line will be available for fall 2013 on adriennelandau.com and Bryan Boy's site, as well as at Adrienne Landau retailers.
