Last night was the annual kickoff to every February Fashion Week, the Heart Truth Red Dress Collection. It's a fashion show unlike any other fashion show. The audience isn't jaded. The models aren't severe. Everyone is happy and celebratory—the crowd even cheers. (Needless to say, Anna Wintour is not there.) Non-model celebrities walk the runway attired in an assortment of red gowns created by a variety of top designers. They're watched by an audience of real women, dressed in what they consider to be their most glamorous ensembles, which are also often red and frequently quite sparkly.
While none of the celebs at last night's show took a spill like Christie Brinkley did last year, there were definitely some unusual moves being worked on the runway. Olympian Gabrielle Douglas, in Pamella Roland, smiled and waved. The Zac Posen-attired Kelly Osbourne (and later Toni Braxton!) flashed heavy metal devil horns. Kylie and Kendall Jenner, walking together in Badgley Mischka, held hands. And actress Roselyn Sanchez, dressed in Tadashi Shoji, decided that the best way to navigate the runway was to do a Conga on it. But the most memorable part of the show was watching the normally fearless Soldedad O'Brien and Jillian Michaels cautiously make their way down that very long runway. Take a peek after the jump
