Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Everyone knows that the majority of women look good in Costello Tagliapietra's dresses. (They're expertly wrapped jersey dresses in rich colors. It's science.) But in your face matte lipstick? Questionable. After noting that the design duo didn't stray far from their usual cocktail frock fare—just a color-block here, and weird, knitted shrug thing there—we couldn't stop staring at the shock of bright, matte lipstick that each of the models were sporting. And, like CT's fall line-up, it flattered every girl, no matter her skin tone/shape/etc. See for yourself after the jump.
