Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Thanks to a press release with the subject "Vena Cava Introduces Viva Vena! with Lizzy Caplan," news of the new diffusion line has been making its way around the interwebs. The e-mail explained that the "new line" is "Vena Cava's sister line" that's "friendlier to your bank account." That all sounds great (especially when you get a look at the vintage-inspired goods), but it's unclear if this collection is different from the one launched a few years ago sporting the same name, exclamation point and all, before the company got into some financial struggles. We reached out to Vena Cava for comment but no word yet.

Here's what we do know: The lower-priced brand has come back with a vengeance. Priced from $59 to $159, Viva Vena! will be available later this month at Nordstrom locations nationwide as well as Asos, Shopbop, Nastygal, and smaller stores like Maryam Nassirzadeh and TenOverSix. And the one thing we are absolutely, totally sure of? The fashion "art film" (re)introducing the line and featuring Lizzy Caplan is genius. Check it out after the jump.
