"The theme for this collection is 'modern armor,'" Suno designer Max Osterweis told Elle, but don't let that fool you into thinking there was anything remotely military about the line. Mismatched prints inspired by Russian folkart, Catholic school uniforms, and Medieval tapestries were paired on the runway, and critics seem sort of ok with the idea.
"By cropping a crystal-embroidered top or styling in toughened-up quilted outerwear, they saved the look from vintage purgatory," WWD admits. "Wearability has always been central to Suno's success, and key pieces here like an asymmetrical gray wool jacket, a pleated peplum shirtdress in plaid, and a Swarovski-embroidered crop top and matching skirt will no doubt enjoy their own moments in the paparazzi glow a year from now," Style.com predicts. Mix and match with abandon, after the jump.
