We were at Lord & Taylor's Manhattan flagship bright and a little too early this morning to celebrate Michelle Lesniak Franklin's victory in last night's Project Runway challenge. We spoke to the excited designer, who was surrounded by copies of her winning dress. "I'm pretty over the moon that I'm in Lord & Taylor," she said. She was even more even over the moon to learn that her dress had sold out online by 8:45 this morning.
The chartreuse and tan design, which Michelle said looks, "Exactly the same," as her original dress, is priced at $259 and is still available in select Lord & Taylor stores including NYC, Garden City, Garden State Plaza, Woodfield, Westchester, South Shore, Freehold, King of Prussia, Willowbrook, Westfield, and Tyson's Corner. But if you'd like to check out even more of Michelle's clothing, like the raincoat she's wearing above, go to her website Au.
Last night's episode of PR happened to include a heated fight between Michelle and Daniel Esquivel. Michelle, who hasn't had a chance to watch it yet, said it really wasn't as bad as all that. "We only argued once and I didn't even know there was an argument until he was yelling at me," she explained.
As for what we can expect from the rest of the season, Michelle's lips were contractually sealed, but she did say, "Look out for massive amounts of creativity when the right teams are put together."
