The Limited Shutters the Plus-Sized Line You Didn't Know About

New, 2 comments

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The Limited is discontinuing Eloquii, its plus-size fashion line. The line was only carried at a few stores in smaller markets across the country, meaning that most customers had to buy stuff online and that the label never got as much visibility as The Limited's mainstream collections. The Eloquii brand was intended to fill a gap in the plus-size market by providing clothes for play as well as work. As one fan posted on the brand's Facebook page: "Am so saddened to (hear) this. You guys brought plus size women the clothing they wanted. Quality clothing that was affordable and actually fashionable."

Still, there is a silver lining: Eloquii is liquidating its entire remaining inventory with major discounts this weekend, so shoppers can head to Eloquii.com to stock up on what's left.
